White Sands Australia 2011 Fashion Show
At the White Sands private screening
A very private and cozy screening-slash-fashion-show was held at the Raleigh Hotel’s penthouse suite by White Sands. The Australian brand designed by brilliant Leah Madden is shock-full of fashion swimwear. Presenting high-waisted swimsuits combined with underwire brazierre style tops, the show sizzled. Because it was so intimate, you could see every single detail. Some photographers were even cheering. And also yelling things like “turn around honey, turn”! Crazy but awesome.
Especially outstanding was the Gracie bandeau bikini, which we are voting as the perfect suit for sun tanning for the following reasons:
a) It’s a bandeau with underwire for shape and support

b) It has a low neckline (read: cleavage enhancer) and connects at the middle only by a secure strap
c) The shirring design at the cups gives the functional look a sexy high fashion flair
The Gracie will be available in peach, teal, pink, and black this year.
A notable mention goes to the frilly long cover up dresses, which frankly pass as a designer dress with a pair of heels and a nice purse.
